The Clearinghouse, a non-profit organization founded by the higher education
community, provides educational verification and research services to

verification services (DegreeVerify and EnrollmentVerify, respectively),
free online Transcript Ordering service, and its subscription-based
educational research service, StudentTracker.
"Joe's extensive knowledge in collegiate student services provides a
unique perspective on the many benefits of Clearinghouse services,"
said Dr. Jeffery M. Tanner, vice president of Higher Education Development.
"His familiarity with the educational community and Clearinghouse
services will benefit the colleges and universities in Florida. We are
excited that he is joining the Clearinghouse team."
"I know what great things can be accomplished when educational
institutions and the Clearinghouse work together." said Mr. Roof,
"I look forward to guiding fellow administrators in how to make their
institutions more efficient by participating in the
Clearinghouse."
Mr. Roof has more than 30 years of experience within the Florida community
college system. Before joining the Clearinghouse, he was the associate vice
president for enrollment and senior provost at Daytona Beach Community
College (DBCC), where he was responsible for all enrollment services, budget
administration, development of student enrollment, and served as the provost
of the DeLand campus. Before joining DBCC, Mr. Roof was the director of
Enrollment Services and Technology at Seminole Community College. He began
his career as the assistant director (later director) of admissions and
records at Edison Community College.
Mr. Roof is an active member of AACRAO and has served as president, vice
president of Finance, and on the board of directors. He is also a past
president of two regional associations FACRAO and SACRAO, and a past chair
